Step-by-step cooking method Place the milk, cinnamon stick and lemon peel in a saucepan on a medium heat. When it starts to boil, remove the cinnamon stick and lemon peel and leave the milk to rest. Whisk the eggs in a bowl. Soak the slices of bread in the milk and then in the egg on both sides. Cook the slices of bread in the fryer and turn them halfway through cooking process. Mix the sugar with the cinnamon powder and spread the mixture onto kitchen paper. Coat the French toast in the sugar and cinnamon mixture to serve.
