Ingredients 350 g flour 175 ml milk 85 g cold butter, chopped 45 g sugar 15 ml lemon juice 4 teaspoons yeast 1 beaten egg 1 pinch of salt 5 ml vanilla essence Blueberry jam Cream cheese
Step-by-step cooking method Heat the milk in the microwave for 30 seconds. Add the vanilla and lemon juice. Stir and leave to rest for 10 minutes. In a bowl, add the flour, yeast, butter and salt. Mix together thoroughly using your hands. Add the sugar and continue mixing with your hands. Pour the milk from the first step into the dough and mix without kneading. Sprinkle a flat surface with flour, knead the mixture thoroughly until you obtain a dough with a thickness of around 4 cm. Make scones of approx. 5-6 cm using a glass or round cutter. Brush the scones with the beaten egg. Prepare a mould with grease-proof paper and place the scones inside. Bake the scones in the fryer until they turn golden. Serve the scones with blueberry jam and cream cheese.
