  • 500 g veal fillets, cut into chunks
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons cornflour
  • 2 teaspoons ginger, freshly chopped
  • 2 teaspoons dry Sherry
  • 350 g broccoli (florets)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Chives, chopped
  • Toasted sesame seeds
  • Steamed rice
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Ground black pepper
  • ½ cup chicken stock
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • 1 teaspoon dry Sherry

Step-by-step cooking method

  1. For the sauce, mix the 5 final ingredients in a bowl and cook in the microwave on high power, stirring halfway through, until the sauce thickens. Add the sesame oil and season with black pepper.
  2. In a mould suitable for the fryer, mix the first 6 ingredients. Leave to rest for 5 mins, add the broccoli and olive oil and stir thoroughly. Cook in the fryer.
  3. Pour the mixture with the veal and broccoli into the bowl with the sauce from the first step and stir.
  4. Sprinkle with the chives and sesame seeds and serve on rice.
