  • 400 g firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons soy or tamari sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon starch
  • Salt and pepper

Step-by-step cooking method

  1. Squeeze the tofu with a tofu press remove water. Wrap the tofu in a piece of clean kitchen paper to absorb the excess liquid.
  2. Cut the tofu into small cubes and add the soy or tamari sauce and olive oil.
  3. Mix the garlic, paprika, onion, chilli powder, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly with the tofu. Then add the starch and mix well.
  4. Spread the cubes of tofu evenly in the fryer without stacking them on top of each other.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes until they are crispy. Move them around during the cooking time so they brown evenly.
